Gram stain · ×1000 oil immersion
Match the drug to the stain
Amoxicillin kills everything in wave 1. Then resistance spreads: linezolid lyses purple Gram-positive cells, colistin lyses pink Gram-negative cells.
Neutrophils block toxins and engulf any pathogen they touch. Your drugs pass through them.
From wave 3, commensals die if your drug matches their Gram type. Lose half and pathogens regrow.
Shoot the plasmid before it crosses, or every pathogen gains resistance.
